I've bought that docking station and I'm still happy to have done. No problems with the hardware installation but that product is lacking of exaustive manuals. With my 3 HDs for example everything works fine except the blinking led on the frontal panel. I suppose my hard disks or my mainboard are probably incompatible with the data-transfer-detection system although all SATA-II as requested. Anyway my final vote for that is GOOD.

I have been using this hot-swap backplane for over a year without any problems. It was hard to get into my Cooler-master HAF 932 case as the case has dividers between each 5.25 bay. I had to bend them down to get the drive bay to slide in. I'm considering buying another to add more storage to my WHS system. I would recommend this drive cage/bay it has worked great without flaw.

Received this last week, thinking I could clear up some space inside my HTPC. WRONG, this thing has some screwed up temperature sensor. After 15 minutes of heavy disk usage, the temperature alarm goes off and halts the drives; screeching like a smoke alarm. I talked to ICY dock tech support and was told, "It can take 5, but most people only use 3 drives maybe 4 max. Also it's designed for 5400RPM IDE drive not 7200 or higher." First of all the tech guy called it "IDE," second only designed for 5400rpm!

Stay away, I'm sending this back as soon as I can.
