Sunbeam has made the BEST Iced Tea Maker that I have ever owned, and that's saying a lot since I've had a few over the past 15+ years. This iced tea maker has a large basket for tea and the design of the product means that it doesn't drip and make messes like some of my older tea makers. The pitcher is better designed, too, in that it has a larger capacity; my husband and I make tea at least once a day so this has been nice.

I prefer this Sunbeam model to any of the Mr. Coffee models I have previously owned!

One thing that I will email Sunbeam about and should make others aware of - the manual has an error about the operation of the product. It says that the steeping dial on the steeping basket should be in the "closed" position during brewing, but the illustration next to this shows the steeping dial in the "open" position. Just make sure the steeping dial is "open" for the tea to pour into the pitcher and you won't have any problems.

Overall a great product and I am extremely happy with it!

I love ice tea. I would make sun tea every weekend possible and ice tea when I couldn't make sun tea. My boyfriend got me this for my birthday and it gets used weekly at a minimum. I really like that if you don't have ice you can use cold water instead. It is very easy to use and cleans up quickly. I am having lots of fun experimenting with mixing different teas to create my own flavor combinations. I have used my ice tea maker so much that the pitcher is tea stained. If it ever broke I would cry and insist on a new one NOW!

Prior to this I had a Mr. Coffee iced tea machine, which lasted a record 3 months. This machine is much more efficient and reliable and, more importantly, doesn't leak water all over the counter. The machine is very sturdy, with the exception of the pitcher, which I find a bit flimsy. I'd recommend that you just use the pitcher just for brewing and then pour the iced tea into another container for storage and use. Definitely, do not put in in the dishwasher. When brewing, you have the option of putting ice or just cold water in the pitcher. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
