Yes, this product is expensive. But, as they say, "you get what you pay for.". This iPad case is premium in every way. The leather is real, as opposed to some that are advertised as leather. The iPad fits like a glove with no chance of slippage and with appropriate openings for all of the external iPad buttons, etc (volume control, and the like). And, unlike the disappointing iPad case sold with the iPad in Apirl, it looks sharp, is padded well (in case you acciddntly drop it) and will not scuff and look generally sorry unless you abuse it a great deal which is unlikely. If you want your iPad to "ride in style" this is it.

I received my Piel Frama case about 10 days ago, and I am completely happy with it. It's the only case I've seen that provides a good typing angle, has an interior pocket for a piece of paper or two, and has a style that looks good in business/board room.
It's a very good quality leather, and the detailing is great. No fraying stitches, every cut-out for ports is finished well, folds are hinged well, etc. The iPad fits in it perfectly -- not too hard to slide in, not so loose it would fall out. The magnetic closures work very well -- you can see the outlines of where they connect, but it's subtle and you don't see any metal. It even smells good, like high-quality leather. The red coloring is great -- very rich, deep, and bright.
I had been a little worried about the stability before I bought it, since it looked a little unstable at a typing angle or video-viewing angle in videos I watched online. There's no problem at all with the typing angle (although I wouldn't mind if it were angled slightly more), and the video angle seems stable enough to me. (If you bump it or the back flap slides, it will slide down, but it's fine for most uses.)
I had also worried about the weight, since I've been using my iPad "naked." I could definitely notice a difference when first I put the iPad in the case, but it doesn't seem any heavier when I carry it around in my bag. I compared the weight with a friend who uses an Apple case, and it seemed fairly close, although the Piel Frama is a little thicker and feels more "substantial."
I don't see any negatives at this point, so I would recommend it to anyone looking for a business portfolio case.

Love love love this fine leather iPad case. Retains it shape, feels amazing and protects my iPad.
I purchased 2 other leather cases from other mnufacturers before I found the Piel Frama. First case had a strange odor and was returned immediately. Second case looked good for 3 months but gradually stretched out and developed cracks on the binding from opening and closing.
Pile Frama is the best. I've been using for 6 months and it is still beautiful. Leather is saturated with color so scuffs do not show, no cracking and iPad is still secure. Color is amazing. I would not hesitate to purchase another case in a different color.
